David Lush Butchers

Keeping you and our staff safe

During the coronavirus pandemic, we are taking additional precautions to keep customers and staff safe. Find out what we are doing in the shop and during our deliveries to help reduce the risk of infections.

Food & Covid-19

There is currently no evidence that food is a likely source or route of transmission of the virus.

When cooking and handling food, make sure to follow good hygiene practices, such as washing hands, cooking meat thoroughly and avoiding potential cross-contamination between cooked and uncooked foods.

Health & Hygiene

At David Lush Butchers, we take health & hygiene very seriously.

Following the high standards of our industry, our rigorous food hygiene routine includes staff washing their hands as well as cleaning surfaces and machines thoroughly on a regular basis.

Additional Measures

In light of the coronavirus pandemic, we have increased our efforts to keep everyone safe at all times.

For example, staff are held to use tongs and forks for handling meat as often as possible and wash their hands or change their gloves more frequently.

We will also change our aprons and shirts more often and increase our cleaning regime of surfaces, fridges and displays.

Online Shop & Contact Free Local Deliveries

If you live locally and want to avoid unnecessary travel or exposure, check out our local delivery and pick-up services.

You can order your meat online or by phone and get your shopping delivered straight to your doorstep.

All our deliveries are freshly cut and prepared to order and packaged in our shop in a controlled and clean environment.

To keep the delivery contact-free and adhere to the social distancing rules, we will ring the buzzer at arrival and leave your shopping in front of your door. If you are not in we will leave in your safe place or notify you to reschedule your delivery.

Because we are sourcing our meat locally, we are not expecting disruption of our supply chain.

We are constantly monitoring this and will keep you informed through announcements on social media and in our shop on Glebe Street.
